This month’s National Geographic published a graph this week claiming that about 89% of eligible Americans vote — they say that highly-touted low voter rates over the past few decades have been based on census figures that included ineligible immigrants, both legal and illegal.

Interesting. I’d love to see that corroborated by Nate Silver, or the Freakonomics guys, or someone else who sounds smart when talking about numbers.

I would say that 89% vote in the main elections, but far fewer in off-year elections.
That said, decisions are made by the media, and the sheeple that follow them, as evidenced by John McCain winning over Ron Paul. ;)
That said, if McCain actually wins, the system is clearly rigged, and the media can then report on widespread riots and election fraud. :(
My vote will go to Bob Barr… I would prefer to vote for Ron Paul or Chuck Baldwin, but they’re not on my state’s ballot.
Rock on with your third-party self!
