Guitar Hero

Do you like rhythm games at all? If so, I cannot recommend Guitar Hero more highly. The joints on my fingers ache from holding down fret buttons all weekend.

It’s hard to find — I had to go to the Best Buy in Cedar Park to get my copy — but it’s worth the adventure. The soundtrack is great, and the game does a great job of approximating actual guitar moves like hammer-ons, pull-offs, and the like, so that I actually feel like I’m playing these songs, rather than just hitting buttons in time with the music.

For the next eight hours I’m going to be sitting in my office dreaming of colored notes scrolling toward me. Christ, I hope they make another one of these.
